NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-263/98006(DRS)
Dear Mr. Wadly:
On April 23,1998, the NRC completed an inspection at your Monticello reactor facility. The
results of the inspection were discussed with Mr. Mike Hammer and other members of your
staff on April 23,1998. The enclosed report presents the results of that inspection.
The purpose of the inspection was to review the implementation of the inservice inspection
program for the 1998 Monticel!o refueling outage 18.
We concluded that, overall, the implementation of your inservice inspection program met
ASME,Section XI requirements. The areas examined during the inspection are identified in the
report. The inspection consisted of a selective examination of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations of activities in progress.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its
enclosu.es will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
