'AND 2 Generic Letter (GL) 89-04 dated April 3,1989, was sent to all holders of operating licenses and construction permits. Table 2 of the GL provides a listing of-those plants for which:the current Ir. service Testing Programs have g been reviewed and a- Safety Evalut. tion Report (SER) issued. Catawba 1 and 2 should have been. listed in this table because the staff's SER was issued January 8, 1987.

Therefore, you need not respond to the generic letter with a confirmation'n -

letter. However, you are still expected to follow the guidance in the' generic

' letter, Section E, on implementing procedures. Also, the generic letter will provide you with guidance for any future program updates..
