. Reference (a)-documented NRC staff acceptance, with certain caveats, of
^ Revision 1 of the Offsite Dose Calculation Manual (0DCM) for River Bend Station, Unit No. I'.
Gulf States Utilities submitted Revision-3 to the ODCM with reference (b)'
that addressed the concerns expressed in reference (a).
Revision 3 of the ODCM for River Bend Station has been reviewed in its entirety by our contracter, EG&G, Idaho, Inc.. Their discussion and comments are contained in their letter' evaluation DWA-33-89 accompanying reference (c) (enclosed).
The NRC staff concludes that the ODCM, Revision 3, meets the guidance in
'NUREG-0133.and the requirements of the River Bend Station Technical Specifications.
.Therefore, the staff finds-Revision 3 of the ODCM to be an acceptable reference.
Some questions remain, however, regarding Revision 3 and these have been detailed in reference (c). The points raised in reference (c) should be considered in the next revision of the' River Bend ODCM.
