Licenses DPR-51 and NPF-6 for the Arkensas Nuclear One, Units 1 and 2, and to

the discussion of our findings with the other members of your staff at the

conclusion of the inspection

Areas examined during the inspection included a review of your Technical
Specification (TS) required calibration program..and your program for the.
.
j
calibration of components associated with-safety-related systems not specifically
addressed in your TS. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selected
.
examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel,
and observations by the NRC~ inspector. 'The inspection findings are documented
in the enclosed inspection report.
During this inspection, it was.found that certain of your ~ activities were in
violation of NRC requirements. However, the violation had little safety
l
significance and appeared to be a few isolated instances within the context of
^
a generally effective program. Accordingly, in accordance with 10 CFR Part 2,.

Appendix C of the NRC Enforcement Policy, a Notice of Violation has not been
attached and no response is required.
Also during this inspection, it was found that certain of your activities
,
appeared to deviate from commitment made to the NRC. This item and reference
to the commitment is identified in the enclosed Notice of Deviation." You are
requested to respond to this deviation in writing. Your response'should be,
based on the specifics contained in the Notice of Deviation. enclosed with this
letter,
