APPENDIX A, NOTICE OF DEVIATION Arkansas Power & Light Company Dockets:
50-313.
Arkansas Nuclear One, Units _1 and 2 50-368 Operating Licenses: DPR-51 NPF-6 Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted on June 5-9, 1989, a deviation from a commitment to the NRC vis identified. The deviation consisted of failure to complete and implement the Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP).
In accordance with the " General Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcement Actions," 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (1988), the deviation is listed below:
In a letter dated November 30, 1987, in response to Violation 313/8730-01; 368/8730-01, concerning v Inadequate PMP for safety-related components, the licensee committed to cc.glete and implement a new PMP by October 1988.
Contrary to the above, as of June 9, 1989, the new PMP has not been completed and implemented.
Arkansas Power & Light Company is hereby requested to submit a written statement or explanation to this office within 30 days of the date of the letter transmitting this Notice. This reply, should include for each deviation:
(1) the reason for the deviation if admitted, (2) the corrective steps that have been taken and the results achieved, (3) the corrective steps that will be taken to avoid further deviations, and (4) the date when full compliance will be achieved. Where good cause is shown, consideration will be given to extending the response time.
