Reference 1 provided the TV Electric response to the Notice of Violation (445/8711-V-02; 446/8709-V-02).
That response stated that the unauthorized splices would be removed from the Unit 1 safety related water chillers per Nonconformance Report (NCR) CE-87-10026 by November 30, 1987.
The estimated completion date for this work was extended to May 31, 1988 by references 2, 3 and 4.
The unauthorized splices identified in NCR CE-87-10026 were removed by the May 31, 1988 date.
However, additional unauthorized splices had been identified and documented on another NCR (88-9603) and were not removed by May 31, 1988.
This matter was discussed with Mr. P. C. Wagner of your office at that time.
Subsequently, documentation of all identified unauthorized splices on the Unit 1 chillers was transferred to NCR CE-87-10026.
Removal of the unauthorized splices in the Unit 1 chillers has been completed and NCR CE-87-10026 has been closed.
