SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-348/89-14 AND 50-364/89-14
This' refers to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) ' inspection conducted
by G. F. Maxwell on June 11 through July 10, 1989. The inspection included a
review of activities authorized.for your Farley facility. At the conclusion of-
.the ' inspection, the! findings were discussed with those members of your staff
'
identified in the enclosed inspection report.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified .in the report.
Within
thr.w areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures
and representative records, interviews with personnel, and. observation :of
-
activities in progress.
Your attention is directed to the unresolved items. identified in the-inspection
report. .These matters will be pursued during future inspections. The matter
Lconcerning apparent' excessive work hours for licensed operators will 'be
- discussed with your staff during.a meeting which is scheduled to be' conducted
'in Region II Office on July 31, 1989.
No other violations or deviations were
identified.
'In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2,
Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and its enclosure
will be pla:ed in the NRC Public Document Room.
