Subject: Combined Inspection Report No. 50-317/89-10,50-318/89-10
An unannounced routine inspection was conducted at Calvert Cliffs on May 8-12,
1989, to review the implementation of your Radiation Safety Program. The
inspection effort was concentrated on the radiological controls associated with
the Unit 2 outage.

Within the scope of this inspection,h regulatory requirements. The findings ofit appears t
not conducted in full compliance wit
this inspection were discussed with Mr. R. Denton of your staff during-the exit
interview on May 12, 1989. The apparent violation is discussed in enclosure
Appendix A. You are required to respond to the violation in accordance with the
instructions contained in the enclosed Appendix A.
The violation's multiple
examples, as well as a related weakness, are discussed in the enclosed
inspection report.
