SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT FOR GENERIC LETTER 83-28, ITEMS 2.1.1, 2.1.2, AND 4.5.2 We have completed our review of your submittals dated November 5, 1983 and February 29, 1984 as supplemented on April 6,1987, which detailed your response for Items 2.1.1, 2.1.2 and 4.5.2 of Generic Letter 83-28, " Required Actions Based on Generic Implications of Salem ATWS Events," for the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2.

The Comission finds your responses to Items 2.1.1, 2.1.2 and 4.5.2 of Generic Letter 83-28 to be acceptable.

Enclosed herewith is our Safety Evaluation with the attached Technical Evaluation Reports dated July 1986, January 9.1987 and June 1987.
