NONDISCLOSURE OF CERTAIN DOCUMENTS OBTAINED FROM Th.
DEPARTMENT OF LABOR Enclosed is a revision to Regional Instruction 1380.1 incorporating guidance received from the Director of Enforcement, IE, in a memorandum dated February 25, 1987, concerning nondist.losure and protection of certain documents obtained from the Department of Labor (DOL).
While certain DOL documents, such as decisions and/or recommendations of the Secretary of Labor, Administrative Law Judges, and Area Directors, as well as 1 records of open DOL hearings, are publicly available and may be disclosed by l the NRC, other documents, such as DOL Compliance Officer's reports or case files, are not publicly available and are obtained by the NRC with the understanding that the documents not be released outside the NRC without prior DOL approval. Documents subject to this nondisclosure agreement shall be
.f handled in accordance with the procedures set forth in Section C.1.d of the revised Regional Instruction, and these documents shall always be accompanied by the appropriate document cover sheet referenced therein.
You should familiarize yourself with the enclosed instruction, and any questions should be directed to the Enforcement Officer, who is the Region's principal point of contact with DOL, or to your supervisor.
