SUBJECT:
NORTH ANNA UNIT 1 STEAM GENERATOR TUBE RUPTURE l
As of 10:00 a.m., July 22, 1987, the licensee is initiating an inspection progran to EC all three SG's A B, C on the cold leg side. EC testing has 1g-already commenced on the hot leg side of SG "C" to meet TS. The licensee is considering removing the tube with the circumferential break for non-destructive /
destructive testing, if possible.

The AIT team, licensee and Westinghouse met on 7/22/87 to discuss EC techniques and SG probes.
l A meeting between the staff and VEPC0 is tentatively scheduled to be held at 10:00 a.m. on July 29, 1987, at the North Anna Site to discuss the results of the licensee's inspection and follow-up actions to be taken by the licensee,
