This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Messrs. J. M. Jacobson,

J. 'F. Smith, J. F. Schapker, W. C. Liu and D. E. Jones of this office on
September 29, October 1, 29-30, November 5, 16, 18-19, 24-25, December 1, 7 and
10, 1987, of activities at the Braidwood Station, Units 1 and 2, authorized by
NRC Operating License No. NPF-72 and NRC Construction Permit No. CPPR-133 and to
the discussion of our findings with Mr. P
L.. Barnes and others of your staff at
the conclusion of the inspection.

The. enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during
the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and
interviews with personnel.
