Dear Mr. Murley:
In reference letter (1) Commonwealth Edison submitted its plan for the inspection of piping which is susceptible to'Intergranular Stress corrosion Cracking (IGSCC) pursuant to the requirements of Generic Letter 84-11.
During the inspection and subsequent evaluation, we transmitted an interim status report via reference (2).
We are now transmitting our final report detailing the results of the Quad Cities Unit 1 augmented piping inspection. This. report provides a description of flaws found as well as the analytical and repair actions taken during the Fall 1987 refueling outage. The following two attachments are provided:

Summary Report Regarding Ultrasonic Examination. Performed During the Fall 1987 Refueling Outage - Quad Cities Unit 1 This attachment is a summary of the augmented stainless steel ultrasonic examination performed during the Fall 1987 refueling outage and results and actions for weldments which have been reported as flawed from previous and present outages.

Evaluation and Disposition of Flaws at Quad Cit'ies Nuclear Power.
Plant, Unit 1 (1987 Outage), Prepared for:
Commonwealth Edison Company, Prepared by: NUTECH Engineers This. report summarizes analyses performed by NUTECH Engineers to evaluate flaw indications, including criteria employed in the analysis.
