Inspection Report No. 50-293/67-46
This letter refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Messrs.
C. Woodard and H. Gray of this office on September 21-25, October 5-9, and
October 19-23. 1987 at Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station, Plymouth, Massachusetts.
Our inspectors discussed the results of the inspection with Mr. K. Roberts and
other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
The objective of this inspection was to aview Boston Edison Company's followup
and corrective actions related to several previously identified items. Within
these areas, the inspection consisted of observations of the plant equipment,
selective examinations of procedures and representative records, review of
drawings and interviews with personnel.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
However, one
unresolved item was identified.
In addition, our inspectors also verified the steps you had taken to correct
violation 87-01-02 brought to your attention in our letter dated March 17, 1987.
