.By letter dated October 6, 1987, Louisiana Power and Light Company-(LP&L)-
requested approval of'their proposal to use a reduced duration containment integrated leak rate test.(ILRT) for their Waterford Steam Electric Station, Unit 3.
The staff has reviewed LP&L's request for reduced duration ILRTs., Based on use of methodology described in a previously-approved Bechtel Corporation l
topical' report BN-TOP-1,-Revision 1, dated November 1, 1972, " Testing Criteria for Integrated Leak Rate._ Testing of Primary Containment Structures for Nuclear.
Power Plants", the staff concludes that LP&L's proposal, as described in their
.0ctober 6, 1987 letter, is. acceptable.-
