DENIAL OF AMENDMENT REQUEST CONSIDERATION DUE TO INSUFFICIENT SUPPORTING INFORMATION (TACS 66455 & 66456)
Through an initial review of your request, dated September 25, 1987, for amendments to the Calvert Cliffs Units 1 and 2 Technical Specifications, the staff has determined that the supporting information provided to justify these amendment requests was insufficient. Consequently, and in accordance with Generic letter 86-03, " Applications for License Amendments," the Commission will not further review your September 25, 1987 amendment requests.
If you so desire to resubmit this request to the C mmission for future consideration, please take the enclosed corrective actions to provide the necessary justification and support.

DATED SEPTEMBER 25, 1987 BALTIMORE GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY CALVERT CLIFFS NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 DOCKET NOS. 50-317 AND 50-318 To permit adequate NRC technical review of the Technical Specification amendment requests dated September 25, 1987, the following information should have been provided:

A description of the analyses and evaluations that were performed to support these proposed changes including a.
by whom they were performed b.
the transients that were reviewed c.
the analysis / evaluation methodologies used, and d.
the numerical changes in margin that were calculated for.each transient as analyzed for each proposed change.
2.
An environmental assessment of the radiological and non-radiological impacts due to the proposed changes.
