0FFICE REVIEW AND CONCURRENCE: FINAL RULE TO AMEND 10 CFR 35.18 TO REMOVE THE REFERENCE TO A 5 YEAR LICENSE TERM FOR MEDICAL USE LICENSES The Office of the Chief Information Officer has reviewed the subject rulemaking package and concurs in it. However, please change the CIO coordination statement to the following:
The Office of the Chief Information Officer has reviewed the final rule for information technology and information management implicatic' e and concurs in it.
This rulemaking will result in a burden reduction for licensees when they renew their licenses. When we reviewed the proposed rule, legal counsel advised that the rule did not need to be submitted to OMB for its review because the burden reduction was negligible. However, subsequent to that review, OMB has indicated that they want to do a perfunctory review of all information collections that revise the burden in any manner. Therefore, please complete the attached NRC Form 670, "Information Required for Making an Insignificant Burden Determination," so that we may submit it and the rulemaking to OMB for its expedited review. The rule may not be published until we obtain OMB's approval.
