By letter dated September 30, 1987, Consumers Power Company submitted our l Intergranular Stress Corrosion Cracking (IGSCC) Inspection Program for Big Rock Point. Additional review has determined that an additional seven welds not previously listed are partially susceptible to IGSCC. All of these welds ;
are branch connection welds where the branch connection is welded to larger )'
cast stainless steel pipe. Cast stainless steel pipe is not considered susceptible to IGSCC. Therefore, all of these additional welds will be examined from the branch connection side only.
Attachment I contains the necessary revisions to incorporate the addition welds. Areas that have been changed are indicated by a vertical line in the right hand margin. This attachment supersedes the previous listing submitted with our September 30,19% letter.
