On October 7,'1997, the U.S. Nuclear Regulat6ry Commission (NRC) issued Generic Letter-
. (GL) 97-04, " Assurance of Net Positive Suction Head for Emergency Core Cooling and Containment Heat Removal Pumps," to all holders of operating licenses or construction permits.
The NRC issued GL 97-04 to confirm the adequacy _of the net positive suction head (NPSH) available foi emergency core cooling (including core spray and decay heat removal) and -
containment heat removal pumps under all design-basis accident scenarios.
In response to GL 97-04, you provided letters dated October 31,1997, and December 19,

1997. In response to a request for additional information dated May 19,1998, you submitted a letter on June 12,1998. These submitta's provided the information requested by GL 97-04.
The staff has reviewed your response and has concluded thLt all requested information has been provided; there' re we consider GL 07-04 closed for your facility.
