IGSCC INSPECTIONS - RELOAD 7/ CYCLE 8 REFUELING OUTAGE JAMES A. FITZPATRICK NUCLEAR POWER PLANT Our letter of April 17, 1987 provided the conclusions of a staff review of your submittals dated Parch 10 and April 9, 1987 concerning IGSCC inspections and weld repairs performed on reactor coolant system piping during the Reload 7/ Cycle 8 refueling outage.
In our letter, we concluded that the FitzPatrick facility can be safely returned to operation for one additional 18-month fuel cycle, with assurance that the integrity of the reactor coolant pressure boundary will be maintained.
Enclosed is our Safety Evaluation which provides the basis for that conclusion.
