I ENCLOSURE 1 NOTICE OF VIOLATION Alabama Power Company Docket Nos. 50-348 and 50-364 Farlev 1 & 2 License Nos. NPF-2 and NPF-8 Ouring the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) inspection conducted on June 11

- July 10, 1987, a violation of NRC requirements was identified, The violation involved f ailure to perform adequate inspection and testing.

In accordance with the " General Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcement Acticns," 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (19E6), the violation is cited-below:

10 CFR Part 50, Appendix 8, criterion X requires that a program for inspection of activities affecting quality shall be established and executed to verify conformance with the documented instructions, procedures, and drawings for accomplishing the activity.

10 CFR 50, Appendix S, crite-ion XI requires that a test program be established to assure that all testing required to demonstrate that system / components which have undergone modification will be corrpleted to assure satisfactory performances.

Test results shall be documented and evaluated to assure that test requirements have been satisf4ed.

Electrical links were found open in certain electrical junction boxes; two electrical jumpers were installed in one terminal box, and the electrical installation to the SRD's was int T:lete.
