RECOMMENDATIONS PURSUANT TO THE COMANCHE PEAK REPORTS Your memorandum of April 14, 1987 contained your recommenda-tions pursuant to the OIA and Comanche Peak Review Group reports.

The Commission has approved the following:

. b. You should meet with each of the principals to inform them of decisions for resolving the remain-ing-issues and to discuss with them their respective roles as representatives of the Agency.

These discussions should be consistent with the Commission approved letters referenced in item

sensitive to the views of others which may not coincide with one's own, within the framework of the inspection process as well as within the agency as a whole.

d. The principal individuals involved, both inspector and management, should be given specific training to improve their interpersonal and communication skills as appropriate to the individual.

e. The Region-wide training program and guidance initiated by the Regional Administrator, as described in his December 17, 1986 memorandum to the EDO, may be continued for all Region IV inspection personnel.

The CPRRG report and its appendices and your April 14, 1987 memorandum, except for Enclosure 3-6, should be released to the public, consistent with any limitations determined appropriate by the Commission regarding the release of the OIA report, following the meetings cited in 4.b. and c., above.

You should provide suggestions to improve the early identification of, and methods for dealing with, future similar management-type issues.
