Staff Acceptance of Response to Generic-Letter 83-28, Item 2.1 for Vogtle, Units 1 and 2 (TACS ????)
Georgia Power Company was required by Generic Letter 83-28, Item 2.1 to confirm that all components whose functioning is required to trip the reactor are identified as safety-related on all plant documentation and in information handling systems that are used to control all activities performed on this safety-related equipment.
In addition, for these componants, Georgia Power Company is required to establish, implement, and maintain a continuing program which ensures that the vendor information is complete, current, and controlled throughout the life of the plant, and is appropriately referenced or incorporated in plant instructions and procedures. Georgia Power Company has responded to this item by letter dated May 20, 1985. Our review of the response is documented in the enclosed evaluation in which we conclude that Georgia Powcr Company has adequately addressed Generic Letter A3-28, Item 2.1 for Vogtle, Units 1 and 2.
