This letter refers to the routine safeguards inspect f on conducted by Mr. R. J.
Bailey of this office on April 20-23, 1987, of activities authorized by NRC
License Nos. DPR-44 and DPR-56 at the Peach Bottom Atomic Power. Station, Delta,
Pennsylvania and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Bailey with Mr.
R. S. Fleischmann of your staff at the' conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these. areas, the
i
inspection consisted of. selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews'with personnel, and observations by the inspector.

Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
' A. section of the enclosed inspection report contain details of your security
program that.have been determined to be exempt from public disclosure in
accordance with 10 CFR 73.21 (Safeguards Information).
Therefore, the section
-so identified will.not be placed in the NRC Public Document Rnom and will
receive-limited distribution. This letter and the remaining portions of the

inspection report will be placed in the Public Document Room, in accordance
with 10 CFR 2.790(a).
