Various operational support services have been delegated to the Nuclear Services Division of the Yankee Atomic Electric Company (YAEC). The Quality Assurance Department of YAEC establishes the

In addition, NHY reviews YAEC documentation, audits YAEC performance, performs an annual 4

management assessment of YAEC QA activities, and coordinates the work to assure a quality work product for the Seabrook project.,

Nuclear Safety Audit and' Review Committee (NSARC)

NSARC is an' executive body that is responsible for conducting a

- critical examination of Station activities, including Station operation, evaluation of ' procedures, investigations of abnormal conditions, and f unctioning of the 0QAP. Technical Specifications define the responsibilities and authority of NSARC. A written l38 charter, approved by the Senior Vice President, designates the membership, authority and rules for conduct of activities.

Station Operation Review Committee (SORC)

SORC is an advisory group, composed of Station management and supervisory personnel, constituted f or the purpose of reviewing current activities and determining the ef fect on operational i

safety.

SORC recommends to the Station Manager approval or disapproval of proposals considered by the Committee. Technical Specifications define the responsibilities and authority of SORC. A written charter, approved by the Station Manager, designates membership, authority and rules for conduct of activities.

17.2.1.4 Authority to Stop Work a.

NHY The' Nuclear Quality Manager and designated Nuclear Quality l

personnel have the responsibility and written authority to stop work or other activities that are not in compliance with the 54 5%

Program.

YNSD The YNSD Director of QA and, through him, personnel of the YNSD-QAD have the responsibility and authority to stop work, if required, on activities delegated to YNSD.
