This response supplements Gulf States Utilities Company's (GSU)
letter dated January 21, 1987, concerning the Notice of Violation
contained in NRC Inspection Report No. 50-458/86-27.
GSU
had
previously committed to review surveillance test
procedures (STP)
for data transfer problems and incorporate
necessary revisions by July 1, 1987. All reviews of STP's with a
potential for this type of problem have
been
completed.
Revisions of STPs in which potential problems were discovered
have been completed with the exception of Instrumentation &
Controls (I&C) procedures. Problems identified in I&C procedures
will be monitored until their revision is completed on September
15, 1987.
