Letter from I.M. Johnson to T.E. Murley dated May 28, 1987.
Dear Mr. Murley:
In the above referenced letter, commonwealth Edison provided you and members of your staff with information pertaining to the status of NRC Regulatory Guide 1.97, Item A.3, Drywell Prorsure Instrumentation.
In it commonwealth Edison indicated that a Technical Specification would be required in order to meet our commitments to Regulatory Guide 1.97.
Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, Commonwealth Edison proposes to amend Appendix A, Technical Specifications to Facility operating Licenses DPR-29 and DPR-30 to make several changes associated with this commitment. Tne proposed changes are listed in Attachment 1 and further described in Attachment 2.
The proposed changes have been reviewed and approved by both Onsite and offsite review in'accordance with Commonwealth Edison Company procedures.
We have reviewed this proposed amendment in accordance with 10 CFR 50.92(c) and determined that no significant hazards considerations exist, our evaluation is documented in Attachment 3.
Commonwealth Edison is notifying the State of Illinois of our application for this amendment by transmitting a copy of this letter and its attachments to the designated State Official.
