Gentlemen:
This refers to an Enforcement Conference conducted by Mr. A. Bert Davis and
other members of the NRC Staff on February 16, 1989, at the Region III Office
in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, to discuss the radioactive material transportation
events identified in NRC Inspection Reports No. 50-295/89005(DRSS);
No. 50-304/89005(DRSS) and a safeguards event identified in Inspection Reports
No. 50-295/89003(DRSS); No. 50-304/89003(DRSS) of activities at the Zion
Nuclear Power Station, authorized by NRC Operation Licenses No. DPR-39 and
No. DPR-48, and to the discussion of our findings with Mr. K. Graesser and
other members of your staff.
The enclosed copy of our report of this Enforcement Conference identifies
those matters discussed during the conference.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this
letter and the enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
We will gladly discuss any questions you have concerning this Enforcement
Conference.
