This refers to the routine pre-operational' safety inspection conducted by
Mr. J. J. Kottan of this office'on ~ June 1-5, 1987, of activities authorized by
ENRC' License No. NPF-64 at the Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit 2~,
Shippingport, Pennsylvania and' to the discussions of our findings ' held by
Mr. J. J. Kottan with Mr. T. Noonan and other members of your staff at the
conclusion of .the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the'NRC-Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. . Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews 'with personnel, and observations by' the inspector.
Within the~ scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
