By letter dated August 30 1985, Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) provided l
an evaluation of the control room radiological habitability for the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant, Unit I and 2.
The staff reviewed CP&L's analysis and also performed its own assessment.
The staff concludes that the Brunswick control room habitability system is capable of protecting the control room operators from the consequences of-design basis a'ccident radiological releases so that their potential doses are.
kept below the guidelines of GDC 19.
A copy of the staff's safety evaluation is enclosed.
