IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE FOR 10 CFR 50.48 AND APPENDIX R FIRE PROTECTION MODIFICATIONS - FORT ST. VRAIN NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION We have reviewed your letter dated August 21, 1987 (P-87267) concerning your schedule for completing Appendix R modifications for the Fort St. Vrain Nuclear Generating Station.
We find your proposal to delay the installation of emergency lighting (Item 4.4.a) acceptable, based on the fact that interim compensatory measures are continued.
We also find your delay of the Fire Water Pump Room Upgrade (Item 4.10.k) acceptable because the reactor will be shutdown or at low power for most of this delay period.
As noted in our letter of April 6,1987, we consider your dates for completion of these items as schedule commitments.
Additionally, we have updated the list of commitments contained in our letter i
of April 6, 1987.
These commitments have been found by the staff to be l
important to safety.
Any changes to these commitments should be requested formally from this office.
