A routine safety inspection was conducted by R. Struckmeyer and A. Kirkwood of

this office on August 3-7, 1987, of activities related to your radiological

analyses and measurements program at Nine Mile Point Units 1 and 2.

Areas examined during this inspection included your capability for analyzing
radioactive effluents, and to achieve and maintain comparable methods of
analysis between your facility and the NRC. Our inspectors performed
i
independent measurements of your samples using the NRC-Regional Mobile
Laboratory Facility.

Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
