NRC Examinations at Palo Verde Nuclear Power Generating Station From April 8 to April 16, 1987, the NRC administered examinations to employees of your company who had applied for licenses to operate your i
Palo Verde Units 1, 2 and 3.
At the conclusion of the examination process, NRC examiner staff concerns and generic weaknesses were discussed with your personnel at the exit meeting. Two major concerns were identified which will~ require continued management attention, the adequacy of the written training material sent to the NRC and the fidelity of the simulator. We would like to point out that attachment I to our letter to you dated December 15, 1987 states that failure to provide adequate reference material will result in canceling and rescheduling an examination and that the facility is required to identify simulator modeling problems and significant differences prior to the examination.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and enclosures (1) and (2) will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room. The examination scores and results for individual applicants are exempt from disclosure by 10 CFR 2.790(a)(6) and, therefore, enclosure (3) will not be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
