Subject: Inspection Report No. 50-412/87-68
This refers to the special fact finding inspection of the Beaver Valley Unit 2
loss of offsite power event on November 17, 1987 conducted by Mr. Clifford Anderson
and others of this office of activities authorized by NRC License NPF-73 at
Beaver Valley Unit 2, Shippingport, Pennsylvania and to the discussions of our
findings held by Mr. Anderson with Mr. J. D. Sieber of your staff at the con-
clusion'of the inspection.
Areas excmined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas. the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedurer and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
No reply to this letter is required. Your cooperation with us in this matter
is appreciated.
