REVISED HANDBOOK 11.7, "NRC PROCEDURES AND MANAGEMENT CONTROLS FOR PLACEMENT AND MONITORING OF WORK WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY" FORMERLY MANUAL CHAPTER 1102 The NRC has prepared a revised Handbook 11.7 (enclosed) which guides the '

performance of work between the DOE Laboratories and the NRC. At this stage in the development of this document, the NRC Executive Director of Operations (EDO) has directed the program offices to begin using this document during a six month pilot period. The effective date of this directive is Janua y 4, 1993. Therefore, beginning on that date -it is our intention to follow the detailed requirements as contained in the Handbook.
