By letter dated February 14,1997, Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) proposed to amend the Facility Operatmg Licenses and Technical Specifications for Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant (FNP) Unit I and Unit 2 to allow operation at an increased reactor core power level of 2775 megawatts thermal (MWt). During a telephone conference call on March 23,1998, NRC and SNC representatives discussed the proposed operating license conditions currently under consideration by the NRC Staff. Each of these conditions is listed in Attachment I, " Additional Conditions Operating License No. NPF-2," and Attachment II, " Additional Conditions Operating License No. NPF-8."

SNC concurs with the first and second conditions for FNP Units 1 and 2, since SNC previously 1 committed to perform these training activities in SNC letter dated September 22,1997. SNC agrees i to the third condition for FNP Units 1 and 2.
