NRC Inspection Reoort Numbers 50-348/96-10 and 50-364/96-10 Ladies and Gentlemen:
By letter dated October 25,1996, Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) responded to the subject notice of violation. Enclosure 5 described the corrective actions pertaining to presenation of composite effluent samples (VIO 50-348,364/96-10-05). He corrective actions have been completed; however, the more detailed study to quantify the affect of non-presenation of samples will not be completed until March 15,1997. This schedule extension was discussed with Mr. Pierce Skinner of your staff on February 13,1997. The results of the study will be included in appropriate annual reports.
