Subject: Combined Inspection Report Nos. 50-317/90 31; 50 318/90-31
This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Dr. J. Jang and Mr.
J. Furia of this office on October 29 - November 2,1990, of activities
authorized by NRC License Nos. DPR-53 and DPR 69 and to the discussions of our
findings held by Dr. J. Jang and Mr. J. Furia with Mr. P. Katz and other
members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection included the Radiological Environmental-
,
Monitoring Program, transportation of radioactive materials and solid radwaste
l
processing, as described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report which is
enclosed with this letter.
Within these areas, the inspection consisted of
selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews
with personnel, and observations by the inspectors.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed and no reply
to this letter is required.
