SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-361/98-02; 50-362/98-02
Dear Mr. Ray:
From February 9-13,1998, a physical security inspection was conducted at your San Onofre
Nuc' ear Generating Station, Units 2 and 3 reactor facilities. The enclosed report presents the
scope and results of that inspection.
The NRC determined that your physical security program was adequately implemented.
The material enclosed herewith contains Safeguards information as defined by 10 CFR 73.21
and its disclosure to unauthorized individuals is prohibited by Section 147 of the Atomic Energy
Act of 1954, as amended. Therefore, the material will agl be placed in the Public Document
Room.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its
enclosure will be placed in the NRC Fublic Document Room (PDR).
Should you have any questions conceming this inspection, we will be pleased to discuss them
with you.
