This refers to the routine resident safety inspection by Messrs. J. Beall, and
L Prividy on April 13 -' May 27,1987, at the Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit
2, Shippingport, Pennsylvania.
The inspection consisted of document reviews, in-
terviews and observation of construction and preoperational test activities.
The

findings were discussed with Messrs. W. Lacey and N. Tonet of your staff.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection
Report.which is enclosed with this letter.
Within these areas, the inspection
consisted'of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, in-
terviews with personnel, and observations by the inspectors.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were . identified.
