Your letter dated September 18, 1986, to Mr. J. T. Beckham, Jr. of Georgia Power Company suggested that Georgia Power consider withdrawing its August 30, 1977, submittal which proposed changes to the Edwin I.
Hatch Unit 1 Technical Specifications relative to spent fuel cask handling. We have reevaluated the need for these changes and concur that the withdrawal of our August 30, 1977, submittal is appropriate.
Fuel cask handling will be addressed under the GPC Technical Specification Improvement Program.
Georgia Power is presently evaluating other submittals for potential withdrawal.
