G 007 08 1986 Beth Ried11nger Nuclear Materials Safety Section USNRC - Region V 1450 Maria Lane, Suite 210 Walnut Creek, CA 94596 EPA FARM I have_been advised by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that they wish to delete the EPA Farm in Area 15 of the Nevada Test Site (NTS) as a location for use of radionuclides under thei r license #SNM-691.
The EPA's research activities at this location havs been concluded, and the facility has been returned to the exclusive control of the Department of Energy (DOE).
(Because of its location within the boundaries of the controlled area of the NTS, the DOE has always exercised control over access to the farm and removal of equipment and samples from the NTS.)
I hope this provides sufficient information to permit renewal of their Itcense with modification as they requested.
