Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station Docket No. 50/395 Operating License NPF-12 Steam Generator Tube Plugging Criteria
Dear Mr. Denton:
In a letter from Mr. D. A. Nauman to Mr. H. R. Denton dated September 15, 1986, South Carolina Electric & Gas Company consolidated and submitted an updated Technical Specification (T.S.) revision package in order to request an exclusion from plugging steam generator tubes with defects greater than a distance of 1.60 inches below the top of the tubesheet. Due to subsequent technical review,it has been realized that additional information is required in Westinghouse topical report WCAP-11228. Information has been included in the technical report in order to provide a completeness of documentation.
The revised WCAP-11228 is enclosed for your review. This submittal will not alter any of the previously submitted T.S. requests as outlined in the September 15, 1986, submittal. It is provided to supply the most current information.
