This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. F. Paulitz of

this office on August 18-22, 1986 at Seabrook Station, Unit 1, Seabrook, New

Hampshire, of activities authorized by NRC License No. CPPR-135 and to the

discussions of our findings held by Mr. Paulitz with Mr. Grillo at the

conclusion of the inspection.

l Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I

( Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the

j inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative

l records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.

Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
