EXAMINATION REPORT During the week of September 8,1986, the NRC administered examinations to employees of your company who had applied for licenses to operate your Byron Nuclear Power Station Unit Two. At the conclusion of the examination, any generic findings were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the enclosed report.
One major concern identified was the operating procedure for local control at the remote shutdown panel. There is no method within this procedure to allow for dealing with accidents. The details of this matter are discussed in the Report Details under the Exit Meeting section, paragraph 2.b.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commissions regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
