Inspection No. 50-244/86-13
A routine safety inspection of your annual emergency preparedness exercise was
conducted by Mr. Conklin of this office and other members of an NRC team on
September 9-11, 1986 at the R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, Ontario, New York.
Discussions of our findings were held by Mr. Conklin with you and your staff at
the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection included followup of findings identified
during previous emergency preparedness inspections and exercises and your
September 10, 1986 emergency exercise.
Findings are documented in the NRC
Region I Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these
areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures and
representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations made by he
emergency exercise team members.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
No reply to this letter is required. Your cooperation with us in this matter
is appreciated.
