Inspection Report No. 50-271/86-22
This refers to the routine resident safety inspection. conducted by Mr. W. J. Raymond
of this office on September 4 - November 3, 1986, at the Vermont Yankee Nuclear
Power Station, Vernon, Vermont. The inspection findings were based on observation
of activities, interviews with personnel and document reviews.
The results of the
inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report enclosed with this
letter and were discussed with Mr. J. P. Pelletier of your staff at the conclusion
of the inspection.
The inspector also reviewed the actions described in your letter dated October 16,
1986, in response to our letter dated September 16, 1986, to correct the violation
concerning the failure to satisfy the technical specifications surveillance re-
quirements for the standby liquid control system.
We have no further questions
regarding your corrective and preventive actions at this time.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified and no response
to this letter is necessary.
