Dear Mr. Denton:
In accordance with recently published changes to Title 10 CFR Part 73, enclosed for your review and approval are proposed changes to the Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station Site Security and Safeguards Contingency Plan.
The specific changes to existing sections of the Plan are set forth in Attachment A.
Supporting information, which demonstrates that these changes satisfy the new requirements, is contained in Attachment B.
Final revised pages, which incorporate these changes, will be submitted upon receipt of your approval.
This will prevent any confusion which may arise from other changes being submitted in accordance with section 50.54(p) of Part 50 in the interim period. A schedule of implementation is contained as Attachment C.
We hereby request that the material submitted with this letter be withheld from public disclosure in that it contains Safeguards Information of a type specified in 10 CFR 73.21.
