Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station Docket No. 50/395 Operating License No. NPF-12 Supplemental Control Room Design Review Report
Dear Dr. Murley:
In response to an NRC request for information, attached is a supplemental report providing additional information on the South Carolina Electric &
Gas Company (SCE&G) Detailed Control Room Design Review which was performed in accordance with the requirements of Generic Letter 82-33.
This report gives additional detail on the actual performance of the review and on the disposition of the identified Human Engineering Discrepancies (HEDs).
The disposition of the HEDs identified in this report have been addressed prior to or during the third refueling outage. The only identified HED, the disposition of which has not been completed, is the improper scales associated with radiation monitoring recorders.
In replacing equipment t-associated with the correction of this HED, hardware problems relating to the new equipment arose which could not be resolved. Additional new recorders have been specified as replacements and their delivery and installation will be completed prior to August 31, 1987.
