Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Unit 1 Docket No. 50-424 Readiness Review Program Module 6 - Electrical Equipment Sumary of Draft Report This report provides the results of the review of the commitments in the Vogtle Readiness Review Module 6, Electrical Equipment. The primary review criteria for Module 6 included the acceptance criteria of NUREG-0800 (Standard Review Plan), the Vogtle Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) and the Safety Evaluation Report (SER). Other applicable criteria included selected letter correspondence, NRC Regulatory Guides and related staff positions'. A total of 190 commitments were reviewed. Of the total of 190 comitments, 9 were found to need clarification or correction.
Formal responses to staff questions were provided by the applicant and satisfactorily reflect the correct SRP position.
The staff has reviewed the Vogtle Readiness Review Module 6, Electrical Equipment, and has determined that the applicant's commitments for the Module are within the defined scope and are acceptable.

SCOPE OF REVIEW The primary review responsibility for the commitment matrix, Section 3.4 of the Vogtle Readiness Review Module 6, Electrical Equipment, was assigned to the Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Systems Branch, Division of PWR Licensing-A, NRR. Secondary NRR review responsibility covered liodule Sections 3.5, 4.0, 6.0, 6.1, and 6.2.
Additional technical staff included the following:

Plant Systems Branch, DPLA, NRR 2.
Engineering Branch, DPLA, NRR 2.
METHODOLOGY The NRR review of the Vogtle Readiness Review Module 6, Electrical Equipment, was initiated by a review of the commitment matrix (Section 3.4).
The review consisted of a comparison of the commitments listed in Section 3.4 and with the guidance contained in the Standard Review Plan (SRP) and other regulatory
.. documents (SER, FSAR and Generic Letters). The staff also reviewed the com-mitments to ensure that all commitments necessitated by the Standard Review Plan were included in the Readiness Review Program (all modules).
Formal responses to staff questions were provided by Georgia Power. The applicant satisfactorily responded to these questions or modified the commitment matrix to reflect the correct Standard Review Plan position.

EVALUATION The review of 190 commitments in Section 3.4 resulted in 9 staff concerns for Module 6, Electrical Equipment. These concerns, with the applicant's responses, are enclosed as references 1 & 2.

FINDINGS The staff has reviewed Section 3.4 of Module 6 and has determined that the commitment matrix contains no omissions and is within the defined scope for Module 6.

CONCLUSION The NRR staff has reviewed the Vogtle Readiness Review Module 6, Electrical Equipment and has determined that the Readiness Review commitments are consistent with the Vogtle licensing commitments and are within the defined scope of Module 6 and are, therefore, acceptable.
